Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Millwright to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, electrical knowledge, and experience with industrial maintenance to ensure optimal operation of plant systems. The Millwright will work closely with other maintenance personnel to uphold safety standards and improve equipment efficiency, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing processes.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and certified Journeyman Millwright to join our team at our Francis facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment
- Diagnose mechanical faults and troubleshoot equipment failures
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals
- Inspect and examine machinery to detect irregularities and malfunctions
- Work in compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Collaborate with other trades and departments to minimize downtime
Skills
- Valid Journeyman Millwright Certificate
- Proven experience in an industrial or plant environment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems an asset
- Commitment to safe work practices
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork.
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
