Today, we operate five dealership locations that cater to every area of the automotive market, all centrally located throughout Ontario.
Strickland’s is seeking a motivated, outgoing, and highly organized Communications Coordinator to lead private sales events, manage dealership social media content, and support customer engagement and retention across our Toyota, GM, and Automart locations.
This role reports to the Group Marketing Coordinator and works closely with Sales, BDC, and Service teams to drive traffic, strengthen brand visibility, and enhance the customer experience from first contact through post-sale ownership.
This is a multi-location role supporting our Brantford, Stratford, and Windsor dealerships. Travel between locations is required, and transportation costs will be covered.

Key Responsibilities
Private Sales & Event Coordination
- Plan and execute private sale events with Sales Managers and BDC
- Use CRM and DMS data to identify and target customers for event campaigns
- Build, maintain, and manage accurate guest lists and appointment schedules
- Coordinate showroom readiness including setup, signage, hospitality, and guest flow
- Manage customer arrivals and ensure smooth handoff to Sales teams
- Coordinate with external vendors and community partners to expand event reach and brand visibility
Social Media & Digital Content
- Create, plan, and publish content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube
- Capture and showcase vehicles, promotions, customer deliveries, service content, and events
- Maintain a structured content calendar and consistent posting schedule
- Monitor engagement and performance metrics and adjust content strategy accordingly
- Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Support lead generation through digital engagement and content strategy
- Guide Sales Associates on social media best practices and personal branding
- Maintain a consistent and professional online presence across all sales teams
Customer Retention & Second Deliveries
- Coordinate and schedule second delivery events for Toyota and GM customers
- Manage event preparation including setup, signage, hospitality, and guest lists
- Conduct or support delivery sessions including:
- Vehicle feature walkthroughs and technology setup
- Service department introduction and maintenance education
- Connected services setup (e.g., OnStar)
- Strengthen post-sale relationships to improve retention and loyalty
Events & Community Engagement
- Assist in planning and executing dealership events, sponsorships, and community initiatives
- Coordinate logistics including staffing, communications, and promotional materials
- Support on-site execution and represent the dealership professionally
- Track event performance and identify improvement opportunities
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in social media, marketing, events, or a related role
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
- Proficiency with social media platforms and content tools (Adobe, Canva, CapCut, etc.)
- CRM/DMS experience (Activix or DealerMine) considered an asset
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license required
