Big White Ski Resort is accepting applications for Rental Technicians for the upcoming winter season. This is an active, hands-on role perfect for individuals who love working with gear and engaging directly with guests to ensure they have a safe, perfectly fitted setup for the slopes.
Full training and binding safety certification will be provided. While this role focuses on the technical & maintenance aspect of the rental shop, there are opportunities to cross train with the POS and administrative tasks as the season progresses.
Equipment Fitting: Select and properly fit guests with all levels of equipment, including skis, snowboards, boots, poles, helmets, cross-country gear, clothing, and snowshoes.
Technical Operations: Operate RTP rental software from a technician standpoint to assign gear and manage equipment tracking.
Maintenance & Safety: Perform safety inspections, adjustments, basic maintenance, and repairs on rental fleet equipment to meet strict quality and safety standards.
Returns & Inventory: Efficiently process returning equipment, inspecting it for damage and prepping it to head back onto the floor.
Happy Valley Support: Assist in the Skate Rental Shop at Happy Valley as required.
Environment: Maintain a safe, clean, and highly functional workshop and tech floor at all times.
Previous experience as a Ski and Snowboard Technician is preferred but not essential (we provide full training).
