Team Shane is seeking carpenters to join our team. Our Ideal candidate will be someone who can work will with our existing employees and be able to complete there tasks effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Carpentry: 1 or more years (preferred)
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be willing to work in a team environment.
- Commitment to high quality work
- Dedicated to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Job Duties:
- Work with other carpenters in such a way that you are a team and help each other.
- Creating a working environment that brings out the best in other employees and that uses time as efficiently as possible.
- Maintaining a clean job site as seen from the street.
- Removing large quantities of debris to ensure a safe and neat job site.
- All tasks assigned by Lead Carpenter or Project Manager
General Responsibilities
- As an employee of this company, you are expected to represent the professional image of the company
- The standard workday is 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Be on time to work every day, calling before the start of the workday if an illness or a family emergency prevents your attendance that day.
- You are expected to invest your own money in the purchase of a tool belt and tools that fit into your tool belt. Steel toe shoes is also required.
- It is your responsibility to be productive on the job site. If you have completed an assigned task, ask to be given another. If the Lead Carpenter or PM is busy, use the time well by cleaning up, stocking materials, etc.
Customer Satisfaction
- Keeping the job clean.
- Broom clean on a daily basis
- Vacuum clean at the end of each week
- Site protection.
- Plastic walls to protect dust from getting into areas of home not under construction
- Floor protection on all flooring that is not being removed or refinished.
- Respect the client’s space
- Our job site is the client’s home. We have access to certain areas of the home but make the best effort possible to maintain a level of privacy and respect for the client’s space
- Communication
- It is expected that you will have conversations with the client from time to time. This is encouraged. It is good to build relationship with those we are working for
- Be very careful not to take instruction from the homeowner. All of your instructions should come from either the Project Manager or the Lead Carpenter. The communication should be filtered through them. This eliminates cutting the project manager out, and also ensures that we do not do extra work that is not agreed on in writing.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- The standard workday is 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
