This position involves setting up, operating, and maintaining precision parts using advanced machinery and tools. The CNC Machinist will play a key role in supporting high-quality production standards and efficient manufacturing processes.
Experience operating CNC machinery is preferred; junior machinists and recent graduates with relevant training are encouraged to apply.
Duties
- Operate and program CNC machines such as CNC lathes, milling machines, and CNC milling equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to produce precise components.
- Set up machines, select appropriate tooling, and perform machine calibration for optimal performance.
- Utilize CNC programming skills to develop or modify programs for manufacturing parts according to specifications.
- Conduct quality control checks using calipers, hand tools, and other measurement devices to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues related to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and machine operation.
- Operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary for material handling within the warehouse or production area.
- Assist with assembly, packaging, and other related manufacturing tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, and press brake machine. 5 plus years of experience
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages; experience with CAD software is preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings for machining processes.
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of assembly, hand tools, calipers, and basic math skills for precise measurements.
- Warehouse experience is a plus; forklift certification is desirable but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards.
- Prior experience in machining or manufacturing environments is highly valued. Pay: $23.00-$31.00 per hour
