Job Overview:
We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Labourer to join our team. As a Labourer, you will be responsible for performing various physical tasks to assist with construction, maintenance and other projects. This is an entry level position with a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience. We work outdoors in all weather
Duties:
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of work sites
- Load and unload materials and equipment
- Be able to read and follow plans
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely
- Perform basic carpentry, and hardscaping tasks
(Such as digging holes, levelling out gravel, wheeling concrete )
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects efficiently
Skills:
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labour for extended periods
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions(50lbs or more at times)
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
-Past experience in plan reading an asset
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
-Must have steel toed boots and a reliable mode of transportation(this job will sometimes start before buses run)
-Must have current certifications to be legally eligible to work in BC Canada
