Part-time/Casual Pharmacist
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Part-time/Casual Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and safety standards
- Provide medication counseling and education to patients regarding proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all pharmacy activities
- Assist in inventory management, including ordering, stocking, and monitoring medication supplies
- Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to safety and cleanliness standards
- Support patient care initiatives by participating in health screenings or vaccination programs as needed
Requirements
- Valid pharmacist license in the state of practice
- Hospital experience or acute care experience is highly desirable
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including evenings or weekends if required
