Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Care Coordination Team Lead to oversee our healthcare coordination team. Duties
- Supervise and mentor care coordinators, assistants, and administrative staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient service
- Develop and implement care coordination protocols aligned with best practices and regulatory standards
- Oversee the management of electronic medical records (EMRs), ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with dental, medical, nursing, and hospital teams to coordinate patient care plans effectively
- Monitor departmental budgets, resource allocation, and staffing levels to maintain operational efficiency
- Utilize systems like Jane to streamline scheduling, billing, and patient communication processes
- Facilitate training sessions on medical terminology, electronic records systems, and human resources policies to enhance team capabilities
- Delegate work effectively across the team and manage day-to-day clinic operations with flexibility in scheduling and task assignment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Allied Health, Business Administration, or a related field will be preferred
- Proven supervisory experience within healthcare settings such as Rehab offices, hospitals, or medical clinics
- Strong knowledge of electronic medical records (EMRs), EHC Billing portals like TELUS, Sunlife, Bluecross etc and practice management software like Jane or similar platforms
- Familiarity with medical terminology, paperwork and billing portals involved in WorkSafeBC, ICBC and private EHC companies.
- Experience in human resources functions including staff recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution
- Ability to manage budgets effectively while optimizing resource utilization
- Prior experience in medical office environments is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and ensure patient-centered care
- Demonstrated ability to run clinic operations independently, with flexibility in schedule and effective delegation of work to ensure smooth daily functioning
