About the Role
$90,000.00-$110,000.00 plus incentive program
Maynbridge Capital is looking for a driven and analytically seasoned Director of Underwriting to join our lending team. This is a high-impact role at the heart of our investment process — you'll lead credit underwriting on new transactions, own diligence workstreams, and play a meaningful role in shaping how we deploy capital across our portfolio.
We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a proven track record of detailed financial analysis with an ability to evaluate debt investment opportunities in a timely manner. Previous experience in a similar capacity is an asset. The successful individual will be key in supporting our unique corporate growth environment.
What You'll Do
· Support the sales team in prompt analysis of new investment opportunities.
· Lead end-to-end underwriting on direct lending transactions, including financial modeling, business quality assessment, and structuring analysis
· Visit with clients to perform due diligence prior to funding of transaction
· Own the preparation of credit memoranda and work with the CRO to present investment recommendations to the Credit Committee
· Conduct thorough due diligence across financial statements, management teams, industry dynamics, and competitive positioning
· Collaborate closely with origination, legal, and portfolio management teams throughout the deal lifecycle
· Monitor and manage a portfolio of existing investments, including covenant tracking, borrower reporting, and amendment/waiver analysis
· Contribute to process improvements and help mentor junior team members
What You Bring
· Progressive commercial lending experience
· Exceptional financial analysis skills with evidence of applying broad industry trends to specific transactions
· Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience drafting credit memos is a plus
· An entrepreneurial mindset paired with disciplined credit judgment
· Ability to manage multiple live processes simultaneously in a fast-moving environment
· Clear understanding of customer service, consideration of client needs and ability to exceed client expectations
· Post-secondary business degree; CFA or CPA is an asset
