Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing high-quality beverages and food items. Your exceptional customer service skills will ensure that every guest has an enjoyable experience, making them want to return time and again.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, as well as food items, in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions, manage cash handling, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including equipment, utensils, and dining spaces.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours while managing time effectively.
- Continuously learn about new products and menu items to provide informed recommendations to customers.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and food handling procedures is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Experience with cashiering or operating POS systems is advantageous.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
