We are looking for a responsible Accounting Clerk to join our team. The Accounting Clerk will work closely with Controller, Project Managers, Site Supervisors, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting while supporting the day-to-day accounting functions of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following and other duties, as may be assigned:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Payroll Support
- Prepare various financial, job costing and accounting reports
- Assisting with weekly payroll processing including group plan deductions and remittance of RRSP contributions
- Visa Reconciliations
- Provide administrative support to the Finance Department as required.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
- Post-secondary education in accounting
- 2-3 years’ accounting experience required
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Experience within the construction industry would be a definite asset
- Knowledge of Sage 50 computerized accounting system
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral
- Exceptional multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Work under time constraints to meet specific timelines
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times

Work Schedule:
