Overview
We are seeking a passionate, nurturing, and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality care and education while supporting children's growth, development, and well-being in a safe and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs and activities based on children's interests, strengths, and needs.
- Observe, document, and assess children's development to support individual learning goals and program planning.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that promotes children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and creative development.
- Collaborate with families to share information about children's progress and support their learning and development.
- Work cooperatively with colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality care and education.
- Support children in developing self-help, social, emotional, and self-regulation skills.
- Maintain positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners.
- Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, licensing requirements, health and safety standards, confidentiality policies, and child protection procedures.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and ongoing learning initiatives.
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, outdoor play, rest periods, and transitions.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Early Childhood Educator Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification
- Experience working with young children in a childcare setting
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification
- Valid RCMP Vulnerable Sector Check
- Doctor's Note confirming fitness to work with children
- Current TB Test
- Copy of Immunization Record
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Passion for early learning and child development
Wage depends on Childcare Level
Range $22.63 to $33.82 (Nlaye Enhancement after 1 year)
