Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Millwright to support the installation, maintenance and repair of machinery and mechanical equipment. The successful candidate will troubleshoot equipment issues, interpret schematics and blueprints, complete preventative maintenance, fabricate replacement parts when required, and ensure all machinery operates safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, blueprints and engineering specifications to determine work procedures.
- Install machinery and mechanical equipment using hand and power tools.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to identify irregularities and malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot, adjust and repair machinery, including replacing defective parts.
- Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required for equipment maintenance, overhaul or setup.
- Complete routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating machinery and equipment.
- Ensure safety devices are functioning properly following repairs, modifications and installations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
- Transfer equipment to the appropriate site for maintenance to prevent contamination or safety hazards.
- Maintain a clean, organized and environmentally safe work area.
- Follow all applicable health and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of experience working as a Millwright.
- Strong knowledge of machinery, mechanical equipment and construction equipment.
- Working knowledge of equipment safety standards.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is considered an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and mathematical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Conditions
- Work is performed in greenhouse, packhouse and maintenance environments.
- Exposure to heat, humidity, cold, moisture, noise, dust, bees, insects, and moving machinery may occur.
- Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing and working in confined or elevated areas.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Personal protective equipment must be worn as required.
- May be required to work outside regular hours to respond to equipment breakdowns or operational needs.

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
