The Opportunity
Carlson Construction Group, in partnership with Brymark Installations Group, is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to support one of our major local project sites in North Vancouver.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a hands-on role in maintaining and strengthening our safety culture while contributing to a high-profile project in a fast-paced construction environment.
This is a project-based, fixed-term position, operating on a 10-day on / 4 days off rotation.
Position Details
- Shift: Night Shift
- Rate: $63- $65/hour (night shift) eligible for benefits
- Contract Rate: $69-$71/hour
- Schedule: 10 days on / 4 days off rotation
- Location: North Vancouver, BC

About the Role
As a Safety Advisor, you will be a key member of the on-site project team, responsible for monitoring compliance, leading safety initiatives, and supporting workers and subcontractors to ensure the highest safety standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage safety records, incident data, and compliance tracking
- Review safety documentation and provide coaching and feedback
- Support safety planning and deliver worker orientations
- Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions
- Monitor employee and subcontractor compliance with safety regulations
- Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations
- Communicate safety issues and risks to project leadership
- Promote and enforce a strong culture of safety on site
- Proactively identify hazards and implement risk-reduction strategies
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of field safety experience (required)
- Experience in industrial or heavy construction preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Willingness to work shift schedules as required
Skills & Certifications (Preferred)
- Safety designation such as CRSP, RCSO, CHSC, CSS, CIH, or ROH
- Occupational First Aid Level 3 (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with BCCSA COR programs and audits
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- High level of professionalism and integrity
