As a millwright mechanic reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you hold a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment within the plant. Your responsibilities encompass the installation, maintenance, and repair of various machinery components, requiring a blend of technical and mechanical expertise.
Job Responsibilities
- Install and assemble machinery and equipment based on precise specifications outlined in blueprints and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance to preemptively address potential breakdowns and uphold optimal machinery performance.
- Identify and rectify defective parts using an array of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Implement effective troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and address machinery malfunctions promptly.
- Uphold stringent safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment, including conducting safety inspections and corrective measures.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities in the ERP system, repairs, and equipment modifications for reference and regulatory compliance.
- Utilize welding and fabrication skills to modify or craft components as necessary, interpreting welding symbols and blueprints proficiently.
- Collaborate closely with other maintenance personnel and production teams to enhance machinery efficiency.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to continuously improve skills and processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a formal millwright apprenticeship or vocational training is preferred.
- Experience as a millwright mechanic in a Corrugated manufacturing environment is required.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks.
