Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and mechanical principles to ensure precision and quality in all work performed. The Welder will play a vital part in supporting construction, ductwork, and manufacturing projects, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and plasma cutting welds with precision to meet project specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure accurate dimensions and tolerances.
- Rigging components for assembly or installation, including working with cranes and forklifts as needed.
- Assist with machining tasks related to fabrication projects.
- Conduct quality inspections of welds and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Support assembly processes by welding ductwork or structural components for construction projects.
Skills
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting, and general welding techniques.
- Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes and equipment operation.
- Experience with rigging, crane operation, and forklift handling for material movement.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, and machining equipment.
- Knowledge of calipers and basic math skills for precise measurements.
- Understanding of manufacturing standards related to ductwork, construction, and assembly projects.
- Ability to work safely with schematics and technical instructions in a fast-paced environment.
