About the Role:
Reporting to the Manager, Indigenous Education & Engagement, the Indigenous Student Advisor (ISA) is a proactive and collaborative team member dedicated to supporting Indigenous students and alumni through academic and career advising. The ISA provides culturally informed advising, drawing on knowledge of Indigenous diversity and nuance, institutional policies, systems, regulations, and guidelines. They offer guidance to students facing financial challenges, registration issues, program changes, or academic difficulties, tailoring support to each student’s context and needs.
As part of a broader network of advising and service professionals, the ISA contributes to Humber and the University of Guelph-Humber’s exceptional learning environment.
