Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role is essential in delivering a memorable dining experience through efficient service and excellent communication skills. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and maintaining cleanliness throughout their shift. Applicants will need to be primarily available on weekends and evenings
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling procedures
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in accordance with health regulations
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for billing, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining professionalism
- Hospitality mindset with a friendly attitude and team-oriented approach
