Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervisor to lead and manage daily operations within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of retail management. This role involves overseeing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, managing inventory, and maintaining store standards. The Supervisor will play a key role in driving sales, developing team members, and ensuring operational efficiency to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of customer service
- Recruit, train, and develop team members to enhance performance and professional growth
- Manage payroll, scheduling, and staffing levels to optimize store productivity
- Oversee merchandising strategies, pricing accuracy, and inventory management
- Handle cash handling procedures, POS transactions, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy
- Implement marketing initiatives to attract customers and increase sales
- Monitor sales performance and develop strategies for achieving sales targets
- Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes for new staff members
- Enforce store policies, health & safety regulations, and ensure compliance with company standards
- Manage budgeting activities and control expenses to maximize profitability
- Provide coaching on customer service excellence and phone etiquette
- Organize training & development programs to enhance team skills and knowledge
- Utilize organizational skills to coordinate promotional events, store displays, and product launches
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience in retail or similar environment with demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Proficiency in negotiation, merchandising, POS systems, purchasing, and cash handling
- Experience with retail sales management, store management, sales management, marketing, and budgeting
- Ability to recruit, interview candidates, and oversee training & development initiatives
- Administrative experience including bookkeeping and payroll processing is preferred
- Strong math skills for pricing calculations and financial analysis
- Exceptional customer service skills with professional phone etiquette
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and foster a positive work environment
- Time management skills to meet deadlines efficiently in a fast-paced setting
