AP Electric CGL is looking for a reliable Construction Material Driver person to assist with the movement of electrical materials and equipment between our warehouse, suppliers/wholesalers, and active project sites in the Calgary area.
This position will primarily be responsible for picking up and delivering materials throughout the day, helping ensure our field teams receive the materials and equipment they need when they need them. The successful candidate will also assist with loading, unloading, and general material handling as required.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver electrical materials and equipment between our warehouse, wholesalers/suppliers, and project sites
- Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Operate forklifts and Zoom Boom/telehandler equipment as required
- Verify materials being picked up or delivered
- Ensure materials are transported safely and securely
- Coordinate with warehouse and project personnel regarding pickups and deliveries
- Assist with general warehouse and material-handling duties when required
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area
- Follow all company and site safety procedures
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Must be eligible to operate company and rental vehicles, including meeting applicable minimum age requirements (currently 25+)
- Valid forklift certification required
- Valid Zoom Boom/telehandler certification required
- Comfortable driving throughout Calgary and the surrounding area
- Able to safely lift, load, unload, and move construction materials
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Calgary-area electrical wholesalers and industrial/construction sites is considered an asset
- Previous warehouse, construction, electrical, or material-delivery experience is an asset

This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys being on the road, working independently, and keeping things moving. The primary focus of the role is material transportation rather than warehouse production—you will spend much of your day travelling between our warehouse, suppliers, and project sites.
