Line Cook – On the Docks Eatery
We are seeking a reliable, high-output line cook to execute a fast-paced, seafood-focused menu at On the Docks Eatery in North Rustico, PEI. This role requires strong fundamentals in frying, grilling, and station organization, with the ability to consistently deliver high-quality dishes such as fish and chips, seafood chowder, burgers, and composed plates during peak service. The ideal candidate works clean, moves with urgency, and maintains consistency across all dishes while following established recipes and systems.
The line cook must be detail-oriented and team-focused, capable of managing prep, maintaining pars, and executing service with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include station setup and breakdown, proper food handling and labeling, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and communicating clearly with the kitchen team. A strong understanding of timing, multitasking, and quality control is essential in a high-volume seasonal environment.
We value cooks who bring a positive attitude, take pride in their work, and are willing to learn and improve daily. Experience in a similar high-volume kitchen is preferred, but work ethic, reliability, and common sense are prioritized. This is a seasonal role running approximately late May through early October, reporting directly to Chef Cory Long.
