Hours: Days, 4 on, 4 off rotating shift. Willing to work flexible hours, potential to work overtime/on-call hours.
Wage/Salary: $25-30 based on experience.
Experience an asset, willing to train right candidates. No sales involved.
Job Overview
Roto-Rooter Saskatoon is locally owned and operated, and are currently seeking a full-time Sewer & Drain Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing sewer drain cleaning tasks using industry-standard tools and equipment ensuring efficient operation and compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and experience with various tools and equipment used in the sewer and drain service industry. This position entails working directly with customers in their home and businesses performing a variety of tasks. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve sewer line blockages, obstructions, or other related issues.
- Perform sewer drain cleaning tasks and maintenance using industry-standard tools and equipment.
- Safely and efficiently operate sewer cleaning machines and equipment while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Conduct inspections to assess the condition of sewer systems and identify potential issues.
- Responsible for discussing and explaining services to customers, completing all jobs, leaving a clean environment behind and invoicing customers.
Qualifications
- Must have driver’s license and good driving record. Driver’s License abstract required.
- Must provide a criminal background check.
- Must have a cell phone.
- Able to lift up to 90 lbs and perform a physically demanding job.
- Able to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of city and area.
- Reliable and willing to learn.
- Good writing ability, strong communication skills and a positive attitude to interact effectively with clients in an informative and pleasant way.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as needed as part of a team.
- Mechanically inclined, knowledge of sewer systems and experience in the service industry are assets.
