We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Butcher with a focus on quality inspection and precision cutting. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the highest-quality meats and charcuterie products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their culinary skills and gain valuable experience in the food industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut products to our specifications and premium standards while maintaining and upkeeping safety standards.
- Ensure the quality of the received product is up to standard and dates are correct before processing.
- Maintain all standards to meet and exceed requirements.
- Package products to the client's specifications.
- Ensure tools and equipment are sterilized before the end of the shift to fulfill food safety requirements.
- Ensure proper weight, description, and date are recorded on the product's label.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience using a meat slicer, vacuum machine.
- Willingness to work with raw meat products.
- Willingness to work in a cold environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks requiring lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing 30+ lbs. safely and effectively.
- Physical fitness and stamina to sustain prolonged periods of activity, repetitive movements, and manual labour.
- Previous work experience is an asset
- Training will be provided.
- Commitment to safety standards and practices.
