The Role
Reporting to the Vice President, Finance and Information Systems, the Budget and Financial Reporting Analyst provides financial analysis, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting support across the organization.
With a primary focus on employee compensation costs and workforce reporting, this role develops meaningful financial insights that support operational decision-making, budgeting, scheduling, and external reporting. The Analyst collaborates closely with Finance, Payroll, Scheduling, and operational leaders to improve reporting processes, data integrity, and financial performance.
What You’ll Do
· Analyze and report on employee worked and paid hours, compensation costs, and workforce trends.
· Review monthly departmental financial results and provide variance analysis and recommendations.
· Lead development of annual hourly staffing budgets and support forecasting activities.
· Partner with leaders to develop meaningful financial and operational reporting.
· Assist with external financial reporting and regulatory reporting requirements.
· Collaborate with Payroll, Scheduling, and Finance teams to improve reporting processes and resolve data issues.
· Identify opportunities to enhance financial controls, reporting accuracy, and decision-support tools.
· Support special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned.

What You Bring
Education & Experience
· CPA designation with five (5) years of related experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or business support roles, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
· Experience working with large, complex datasets and financial reporting processes.
· Auditing experience is an asset.
Skills & Competencies
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting practices.
· Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation abilities.
· Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
· Commitment to continuous improvement and collaborative teamwork.
Additional Requirements.
· Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
· Compliance with TB screening, immunization, and other public health requirements.
