We are seeking a professional, organized, and friendly Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our busy medical clinic full time. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working in a medical office, strong administrative and communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent patient care and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients while providing a welcoming and professional experience.
- Schedule appointments and efficiently manage the physician's and clinic's appointment calendars.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update patient information as required.
- Assist with insurance verification, billing processes, and other administrative procedures.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and assist with appropriate follow-up.
- Perform general administrative duties, including filing, faxing, scanning, and document management.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of the reception and waiting areas.
- Assist physicians and clinic staff with administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and maintain privacy in accordance with clinic policies and procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Completion of a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) program is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working in a medical office is required.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is preferred; experience with Myle is an asset.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and a good understanding of medical office procedures.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- A professional, reliable, and positive demeanor with a commitment to providing exceptional patient service.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
