Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Pet Stylists to join our team as we open our second in-home salon in NW Calgary. Style one dog at a time from start to finish in your own private groom space at your own pace, no or minimal over lap between clients, no kennels. A beautiful space with kitchen and staff area. Commission pay - increased with commitment, bonus pay, semi-annual Grooming tool(s) allowance, blade and scissor sharpening and educational events. In this role, you will provide professional grooming services to pets, ensuring they look and feel their best while delivering excellent customer service to pet owners. The Pet Stylist will play a vital role in creating a positive experience for both pets and their owners, fostering trust and satisfaction. Duties
- Groom pets according to breed standards and customer specifications, including bathing, trimming, and styling coats.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of pets throughout the grooming process.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools and work area.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming needs and aftercare instructions.
- Handle pets gently and confidently, demonstrating compassion and patience during grooming sessions.
- Uphold all safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for pets, clients, and staff.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move or lift large or heavy pets safely.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-2 years grooming experience
- Pet Stylist / Groomer Certificate
- Must have your own professional tools
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for larger dogs not able to climb a few steps or walk up a ramp
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming standards.
- A "pet lover heart"
- Willing to give belly rubs and TLC with every groom :)
Pay: $3,500.00-$5,000.00 per month
