Member Experience Representative
The Member Experience Representative (MER) position is a new opportunity to join a growing Team of highly motivated fitness professionals. The MER will be the face of the studio and have the unique opportunity to assist others in their wellness journey and become a valuable asset to our community.
Role:
As the Member Experience Representative you're focused on helping others achieve their wellness goals through Contrast Therapy, Fitness Classes, and Personal Training services. You prep and administer Contrast Therapy services, assist Coaches with class set-up, help Trainers with administrative duties, help members with navigating the studio, make the odd coffee, and welcome all clients to their "second home." You’re dedicated to creating a welcoming environment that's organized, hygienic, safe, and fun loving. You work with BPM Managers, Coaches, Trainers, Staff, Volunteers, and our community to create opportunities for all Victorian's regardless of race, religion, sex, gender, or ideology to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
- Key holder - Open and/or close the Studio
- Prep/Clean Contrast Therapy Facilities
- Assisting Coaches/Trainers/Manager
- Client/Member communications
- Community outreach
- Social media posting/engagement
- Sales and member relations
- Studio hygiene/organization protocols
- Curating the coffee & bevvy bar
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities on the Job:
- Love of dogs, coffee, and fitness
- Mastery of Canva, Excel, Word, & Instagram
- Knowledge and passion for exercise/fitness
- Ability to lift over 50lbs … many times
- Competency with Instagram
- Competency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to think quickly on your feet and problem solve
- Barista skills an asset
Working Hours:
- 20-25 hours/week (more with subbing)
- Monday/Tuesday 3pm - close
- Thursday/Friday 5:30am - 11am Friday
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience in a retail or service sector position
- Minimum Post-Secondary, but a exercise science based BA/BSC is preferred
- Desire to advance in the fitness industry
- Being a positive, fun, outgoing, enthusiastic individual with an endless supply of energy
- Ability to make everyone feel welcome
- Must be 19+ to apply
- Must be local to Victoria
- Must be fluent in English
Compensation
- $24/hour + 8-12% sales commission + 4% vacation pay
- Free unlimited gym & contrast therapy membership ($388 month)
