Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Espresso Enthusiast, Head Barista - Manager to lead our coffee shop team. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, barista experience, and a passion for the espresso. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment while managing staff and ensuring efficient store performance.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Lead and motivate the barista team to deliver outstanding customer service
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages and food items in accordance with company standards
- Manage cash handling, cashiering, and POS transactions using Micros POS systems
- Oversee food safety practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Train new staff on food preparation, barista techniques, POS systems, and safety protocols
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive experience for all patrons
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work environment in accordance with food safety standards
- Manage time effectively to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cafe Barista with leadership or supervisory responsibilities in a food service setting
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with food preparation and serving in the food industry is preferred
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends if needed
