Job description
PM Signs is a leading custom sign designer, manufacturer, and installer serving the Greater Edmonton area. We specialize in high-quality architectural signage, including both interior and exterior solutions.
We are currently seeking an experienced Sign Fabricator to join our production team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong background in signage manufacturing and CNC routing.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC routers (Multicam) for sign production
- Use Enroute CNC software to program and process jobs
- Read and interpret production drawings and design layouts
- Perform sign fabrication, preparation, and painting
- Conduct quality checks before and after production
- Assist in other production areas as required
- Track inventory and notify Production Manager of stock needs
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
- Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Follow company policies and safety procedures
Requirements
- 2+ years CNC router operating experience (required)
- Experience in sign manufacturing (preferred)
- Proficiency with Enroute CNC software (required)
- Experience operating Multicam routers (required)
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Creative Suite (asset)
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic math skills (measurements, fractions, decimals)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Physical requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more repeatedly
- Comfortable with repetitive hand movements (vinyl application, assembly)
- Experience using light power tools
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Post-secondary or technical training is an asset
