Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier/Cook/Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. This versatile role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, and managing transactions in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong multitasking skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure success in all aspects of the role.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, including basic food preparation and handling
- Serve meals efficiently while ensuring customer satisfaction and upselling menu items when appropriate
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, kitchen areas, and dining spaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Uphold excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, food service, or the food industry preferred but not required
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS for cashiering transactions
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation procedures
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Kitchen experience or restaurant background is advantageous
- Ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
