Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Concrete Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with various concrete-related projects, including formwork, finishing, and restoration work. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and familiarity with construction tools and techniques. Prior experience in concrete is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in concrete forming, rebar installation, and blueprint reading within a dynamic construction environment.
Duties
- Assist with concrete forming, pouring, and finishing to ensure smooth and durable surfaces
- Install rebar and other reinforcement materials according to schematics and blueprints
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct demolition or renovation activities as needed for project completion
- Support welding, carpentry, and other related tasks to facilitate the overall construction process
- Engage in heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks to meet project requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience or training in concrete finishing
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools and heavy equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during work shifts
- Knowledge of rebar installation, concrete forming, caulking, and restoration is preferred
- Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to handle demanding labor-intensive tasks in various weather conditions
