Shift Manager – Restaurant Operations

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
- Lead, motivate, and manage team members, including training, coaching, and performance evaluation.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with food safety standards.
- Operate and manage POS systems (e.g., Micros POS), including accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve concerns promptly to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Enforce workplace safety standards in both kitchen and front-of-house areas.
- Support hiring processes, including interviewing and onboarding new team members.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness throughout each shift.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a supervisory role within the food service or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of restaurant operations and industry best practices.
- Experience in quick-service restaurants (QSR), hotels, cafés, or similar food service environments is considered an asset.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to confidently interview and assess candidates.
Schedule
- 8-hour shifts
- Day, evening, weekend .
