Guglu Homes Inc. Brokerage is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized Bookkeeper to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the brokerage's day-to-day bookkeeping and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate is proficient in QuickBooks, has experience with Lone Wolf Back Office or similar accounting software, and possesses a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles. Experience working in a real estate brokerage is considered a strong asset.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks, Lone Wolf Back Office, and other accounting software as required.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable accurately and efficiently.
- Record deposits, brokerage commissions, expenses, journal entries, and account adjustments.
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Conduct account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, budgets, and cash flow summaries.
- Prepare and reconcile HST/GST filings and assist with other statutory reporting requirements.
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by preparing reconciliations and documentation for external accountants.
- Maintain organized financial records, invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation.
- Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, and outstanding vendor payments.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with CRA requirements, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Support audits and respond to requests from accountants, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies.
- Collaborate with management to improve financial processes, reporting, and internal controls.
- Perform other bookkeeping and administrative duties as required.
Administrative & Front Desk Support
As part of a collaborative office environment, the successful candidate may occasionally assist with general administrative and front desk responsibilities, including:
- Greeting clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Answering and directing incoming telephone calls and emails.
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail, courier deliveries, and office correspondence.
- Preparing, scanning, filing, and organizing documents.
- Maintaining office supplies and ensuring the reception area remains organized and presentable.
- Providing administrative support to brokers, sales representatives, and management.
- Assisting with front desk coverage during staff absences, lunch breaks, or other operational needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
- Experience with Lone Wolf Back Office is considered a strong asset.
- Experience using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Previous experience working in a real estate brokerage or property management environment is preferred.
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of:
- Bookkeeping and accounting principles

- Financial reporting and budgeting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

- Familiarity with RECO trust accounting requirements is considered an asset.
- Experience preparing financial records and supporting documentation for month-end and year-end reporting.
Pay: $19.00 per hour
