LICENSED CLASS 5 DRIVING INSTRUCTOR
**Please note that the successful candidate for this position must be available to work on weekdays, evenings and weekends to accommodate our student's schedule.**
We are currently searching for Class 5 Driving Instructor(s) with the skills and the drive to effectively deliver our Driver Education program and to teach our student's how to be safe drivers!! This position is located in Red Deer, however we do travel to communities outside of Red Deer.
REQUIREMENTS:
Have your Provincial Vehicle Instructor License from Alberta Transportation. Training can and will be provided to the suitable candidate if you do not have the certification. (Travel to Calgary for part of the training will be mandatory.)
Have a valid class 1, 2, 3 or 4 driver's license, clean driver's abstract and a vulnerable criminal record check is a MUST. (Provide at the time of the interview.)
Have excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to stay calm in a stressful situation (driving with a person that has never been behind the wheel can be very stressful)
Be a natural teacher, positive, upbeat that enjoys working with a variety of different people. (Not everyone learns at the same speed.)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide constructive feedback on a student's driving ability, help them understand, develop confidence and the skills that are needed to become a safe driver for life.
You are responsible for the submission of required daily paperwork.
You are responsible for the vehicle cleanliness, being sure the vehicle has adequate fuel and monitoring of regular vehicle maintenance (pre-trip & post-trip).
