Key Responsibilities
- Solid experience with Accident Benefits Claims
- Provide support to a senior lawyer by running all aspects of AB file management
- Completion and submission of OCF forms
- Prepare and file LAT applications
- Drafting Case Conference Summaries
- Review and summarize medical documentation and complete file summaries
- Review accident benefit files for denials and diarize limitations
- Act as liaison between clients, treatment team and Accident Benefit adjusters
Qualifications
- Law Clerk Diploma/certification
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accident Benefits Law Clerk
- Knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and legal practices in the area of personal injury
- Solid understanding of the SABS
- Technical proficiency in MS Office; experience working with Filevine is an asset
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment; self starter
- Must be able to work independently in a remote setting and also be part of a team
- Superior attention to detail; well organized
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and accountability
