Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and professional Administrative Assistant to support our team with daily operations. This role involves managing correspondence, data entry, and providing exceptional customer service to clients and internal staff. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently. Strong English skills are required. Some knowledge of horticulture is also necessary.
Responsibilities
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain organized records of company information
- Manage incoming calls with professional phone etiquette, directing inquiries appropriately
- Assist with scheduling , customer and order follow up, and coordinating pick ups.
- Support sales efforts through upselling and cross-selling opportunities when interacting with clients
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and resolving issues promptly
- Enter inventory / orders/write offs and estimates in an accurate and timely manner.
- Process online orders and follow up with customers.
- Assist in the store when required.
- Handle correspondence via email, mail, and other communication channels
- Support administrative projects and retail customer sales as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Skills
- Strong, fast and accurate data entry skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English including phone etiquette
- Proficiency in customer service
- Experience in sales, upselling, or customer service roles is a plus
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team and independently when required
Working Hours/ Location
We are located 10 minutes south of Calgary/ North of Okotoks. No public transportation. You must have a reliable vehicle to travel to and from work.
Current position will be 4 days a week from now through October. 2-3 days per week over the winter and extended time off from mid Dec to mid Feb. This schedule can be flexible after 3 months.
