Job Title: Journeyman Electrician
Job Description
This role involves working on a variety of multi-family residential construction projects across the city. You will contribute to all phases of electrical work, from rough-in to final finishing, ensuring safe, high-quality installations that meet project specifications and timelines.
Responsibilities

Perform rough-in electrical work on multi-family residential projects, including cutting and installing conduit, pulling wire, and completing breaker tie-ins.

Install, bend, and secure conduit according to drawings, codes, and site requirements.

Complete final finishing tasks such as installing lighting and electrical fixtures, performing terminations, and working on distribution systems.

Read and follow electrical plans, layouts, and instructions to ensure accurate installation and compliance with applicable standards.

Operate aerial work platforms (AWP) and use fall protection equipment safely and in accordance with training and regulations.

Collaborate with a team of journeyman and apprentice electricians to complete project milestones efficiently and safely.

Support and mentor apprentices and less experienced team members as needed to promote skill development and productivity.

Operate a telehandler when required, following all safety procedures and site protocols.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, promptly reporting any hazards or incidents.

Travel to various project sites within the city as assigned and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.

Work Environment
You will work on one of several multi-family residential construction projects located throughout the city. Each site typically operates with a team of 10–15 journeyman and apprentice electricians, fostering a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Projects are in the initial stages, providing long-term work and continuity within the Calgary area. The standard shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime paid after 44 hours in a week, subject to applicable regulations. Work takes place on active construction sites, requiring appropriate PPE and adherence to safety procedures, including the use of fall protection and aerial work platforms where necessary.
