Position Summary
We are currently seeking a Dispatch / Field Services Coordinator to join our construction clients’ team in the Grande Prairie area. This position plays a key role in supporting field operations by coordinating manpower, equipment, logistics, fleet maintenance, and project support activities in a fast-paced construction environment.
The ideal candidate will support field operations and constructions crews, while multi-tasking and thriving under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, and resource requests for field construction projects
- Schedule and dispatch drivers, hot shots, and deliveries to support project operations
- Track fleet usage, maintenance schedules, inspections, and coordinate repairs as required
- Maintain accurate fleet and equipment records
- Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to support operational requirements
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and hiring support for project personnel as needed
- Support the HSE team with the development and coordination of Emergency Response Plans (ERPs) for job sites
- Work within Aimsio to complete daily tasks related to dispatching and scheduling
- Monitor and prioritize multiple ongoing requests and operational needs
- Maintain strong communication between office staff, vendors, drivers, and field personnel
- Ensure company procedures, safety standards, and documentation requirements are followed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dispatching, field coordination, logistics, or construction administration preferred
- Experience in oil & gas, pipeline, or construction environments considered an asset
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer-based tracking systems
- Knowledge of fleet maintenance coordination and equipment logistics is an asset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
