Residential Support Worker:
Heartwood Child and Family Services is currently looking for a dedicated, trustworthy, and energetic Support Worker. Support to provide support to youth on a one-to-one basis, or in a team environment, in home and community settings.
Candidates must possess:
- The ability to build trusting relationships with adults and youth
- The ability to participate as a part of an interdisciplinary treatment team
- Effective social skills and able to act as a positive role model for adult and youth
- The ability to implement an adult programming to help the adult achieve their clinical goals
- The ability to set limits and expectations while maintaining therapeutic rapport
- Strong written communication skills, efficient at writing progress notes and reporting
- Ability to read, understand and follow treatment plans and help clients meet their individual goals
- Experience working with adult and youth with special needs is an asset
