Mann Operations Group is an industry leader in civil construction and excavations. This position will work with our accounting team to ensure the department operates efficiently and effectively. The Mann Operations Group includes: Don Mann Excavating, RG Excavating, Victoria Drains, and Axis Shoring & Drilling.
We are looking for a skilled full-time Accountant to join our team in Langford, BC.
Key Qualifications
· 2+ years in a full-cycle accounting position.
· Accounting degree or diploma strongly beneficial. Payroll experience strongly beneficial.
· Strong understanding of GL, debits and credits, and reconciliations.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Good knowledge of MSO (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
· Demonstrated ability to support multiple functions across AP, AR, Payroll, and general accounting.
Key Duties
· GL and Accounting oversight (reviews and validates AP & AR coding; prepares and posts journal entries; assists with month-end; account reconciliations).
· AP/AR support (provides guidance to team, reviews complex invoices, allocations, and job costing; resolves discrepancies; monitors entries).
· Reconciliations and accuracy (prepares and reviews reconciliations; ensures subledger to GL integrity).
· Team coverage and support (provides backup coverage to AP, AR, and Payroll as needed; supports Sr Accountant as needed).
