West Lincoln Professional Veterinary Corporation operates two vet clinics within the Niagara region. Currently, we are in search of a career minded, enthusiastic Client Care Coordinator (Veterinary Receptionist) to join our team and contribute to our mission.
Position Overview
As a Client Care Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our veterinarians by assisting during examinations, building lasting bonds with our clients, delivering exceptional services to our patients, and ensuring the seamless operation of our hospitals.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and compassion
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other information-sharing apps
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Assist with billing, payments, and estimates
- Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure smooth workflow
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the public areas of the hospital
- Provide support to veterinarians, technicians, and other staff as needed
- Communicate with clients, staff, and public in a professional manner always
- Educate clients on pet care and preventive health measures
- Assist with prescription refill requests and product inquiries
- Triage client concerns and determine urgency
- Prepare and review treatment plans and estimates with clients
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1-year prior experience as a Client Care Coordinator or Vet Assistant within veterinary medicine is preferred
- Must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining professional composure, as well as the ability to multitask
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Must be compassionate and empathetic towards animals and their owners, with a sincere passion for animal welfare and care
- Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays required
- Prior experience with Avimark is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour based on experience and skill
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, occasional Saturdays (up to 40 hours per week)
Experience: Veterinary: 1 year preferred, Customer service: 1 year or more required
Work Location: In person, must be willing to work at both of our hospital locations as scheduled
Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
