Automotive Electronics Installer/Up-fitter/Fabricator
Summary: To up-fit customer owned vehicles with electronics and hardware to supplied specification·
Check incoming vehicles as per pre installation checklist
· Solder, loom, wire tie, and make “stealthy” all circuit cuts and wiring as necessary on customer vehicles
· Install hardware and components as required on customer vehicles.
· Maintain a neat and organized work area
· Assist management with quality control and efficiency initiatives
· Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
· Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
· Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew or safety.
· Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists others in solving work problems.
· Maintains time and production records.
Qualifications
- Experience installing Remote Starters or Car Audio definite asset
- Mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair
- Experience in Automotive Electronics installation preferred
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Welding experience definite asset
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Previous mechanic experience is preferred
- Familiarity with fabrication processes and techniques
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
