Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Dental Treatment Receptionist to join our busy dental practice as our Hygiene Department Treatment Coordinator . The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments, patient records, and administrative tasks with efficiency and a friendly demeanor. This role requires a strong understanding of dental office operations and excellent communication skills to ensure a smooth patient experience.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk operations in a professional manner
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software
- Handle multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, direct calls, and provide exceptional customer service
- Collect patient information, verify insurance details, and update electronic medical records accurately
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including processing payments and explaining treatment plans
- Maintain organized patient files and ensure confidentiality of medical information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with dental staff to coordinate treatment schedules and follow-up appointments
- Manage administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence related to dental treatments
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist
- Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Tracker is desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and electronic medical records systems
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in handling patient information
- Experience working with multi-line phone systems and providing front desk support in a fast-paced environment
- Office experience in administrative roles within healthcare settings is advantageous
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and insurance providers
- Professional appearance and friendly demeanor to create a welcoming environment for patients
