Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our healthcare team. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations. Duties
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
- Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve communication and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
- Document assessments, treatment sessions, and progress notes accurately in medical records.
- Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and swallowing safety.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure holistic patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology through ongoing professional development.
Experience
- Experience with pediatric populations is a plus, especially in settings involving paediatrics.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to healthcare settings is essential.
- Demonstrated skills in case management and patient care coordination are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the latest speech-language pathology assessment tools and therapy techniques is beneficial. This role requires a committed professional with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for improving patients’ quality of life through effective speech and swallowing therapy.
Pay: $100.00-$200.00 per hour
