As the Marketing Technology Systems Specialist, you will play a key role in the technical execution, optimization and ongoing evolution of Seneca’s Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) ecosystem. Working within the Marketing and Communications team, you will design and configure complex journeys, build scalable, data-driven solutions and support end-to-end recruitment initiatives including lead capture, event registration and automated communications. You will also manage integrations with Salesforce and related platforms to ensure reliable data flow and a connected user experience.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to translate business requirements into reliable, compliant marketing technology solutions, spanning audience segmentation, automation, personalization and data management. This role requires strong technical acumen and attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining data integrity, system performance and consistent campaign delivery.

Strategic Planning and Technical Leadership

Provides SFMC expertise and technical leadership to support marketing and communications strategies across the organization

Leads the delivery of SFMC solutions for campaigns, automation and event registration

Analyzes campaign performance and provide actionable recommendations to improve engagement and outcomes

Contributes to reporting strategies, identifying risks and opportunities to support enrolment and retention goals

Advises on campaign lifecycle planning, execution and optimization

Evaluates and implement new SFMC capabilities and improvements

Partners with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable marketing technology solutions
Campaign execution and Oversight

Designs, builds and manages SFMC email campaigns, journeys and lead management processes

Ensures compliance with accessibility standards, CASL and brand guidelines

Leads end-to-end campaign QA, deployment and performance reporting

Collaborates with ITS to maintain CRM integrations, data flows and technical requirements
Training, Documentation & Continuous Improvement

Develops and maintains standards, best practices and documentation

Provides training, mentorship and ongoing technical guidance to team members

Supports scalable, consistent campaign execution and adoption of platform updates
Data management and Governance

Maintains and improves data quality, integrity and governance across Salesforce, SFMC and related systems

Oversees data migration, cleansing and integration processes

Recommends improvements to data structures, processes and system performance

Partners with ITS to support data architecture, integrations and platform enhancements
Education
-
Completed four (4) year degree or equivalent in Marketing, Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Digital Media or a related discipline.

Additional courses in marketing automation and CRM management are an asset.
Experience
-
Five (5) years’ experience developing complex digital marketing campaigns using marketing automation and CRM systems.

Experience working with ERP systems with specific expertise in the integration of functional and technical enhancements.

Experience working with Salesforce (CRM) and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Marketing Automation) and Peoplesoft (SOR)
-
Experience in HTML, CSS, Salesforce AMPscript and Microsoft SQL programming
-
Experience working within the theory and practical implementation of CASL.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with and relate complex technical concepts to individuals of varying backgrounds and technical skill, including senior management.

Ability to present comprehensive and actionable recommendations to stakeholders based on analytics and research to improve marketing campaigns.

In-depth understanding of email best practices (responsive design, content formatting and placement, link structure, subject line and preview text, etc.) and marketing email campaign best practices (number and timing of emails, types of audiences, audience segmentation, integration of email as part of a broader marketing strategy, etc.).
