Forklift Operator (MRF) – $19.00/hr
Location: North Vancouver, BC
Schedule: Full‑time, Monday to Friday
About the Role
Around The Clock Staffing Solutions is hiring a Forklift Operator for our client’s Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in North Vancouver. The successful candidate will support daily recycling operations, including handling baled materials, feeding sorting lines, and maintaining safe traffic flow throughout the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload trailers with baled recyclable materials (cardboard, plastics, metals).
- Organize and stack bales in designated warehouse or yard areas.
- Transport loose materials to sorting lines, conveyors, and balers to maintain continuous production.
- Monitor and empty full bins, chutes, and cages across the facility.
- Complete daily pre‑trip and post‑trip forklift inspections and submit required paperwork.
- Report equipment issues immediately to supervisors or maintenance.
- Follow all facility traffic rules and maintain awareness of pedestrians and heavy equipment.
- Identify and flag hazardous or unacceptable materials.
- Maintain housekeeping by clearing debris and preventing slip/trip hazards.
- Submit end‑of‑shift inspection sheets, loading logs, and required documentation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
- 1–2 years of forklift experience in recycling, waste, or manufacturing environments.
- Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Counterbalance/Sit‑down) required.
- Experience with Bobcat, Skid Steer, or baler equipment is an asset.
- Ability to work in loud, dusty, indoor/outdoor environments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements.
Pay: $19.00 per hour
