Job Overview
Riverpointe is seeking a dependable, experienced, and hands-on Building Manager to oversee the daily operations of our well-maintained strata complex located in Surrey's Guildford area.
This is a full-time position responsible for ensuring the property is maintained to a high standard while serving as the primary point of contact for residents, contractors, tradespeople, and the property management company. A live-in opportunity with housing assistance may be available for the successful long-term candidate.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine repairs and maintenance, including drywall patching, painting, hardware adjustments, and general building upkeep.
- Respond to building and resident emergencies, including water leaks and other urgent maintenance issues.
- Monitor the property to ensure all common areas remain clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Oversee cleaning contractors and coordinate services such as landscaping, pest control, elevator maintenance, plumbing, and electrical work.
- Provide access to contractors, inspectors, and service providers as required.
- Maintain building doors, locks, access systems, and common area facilities.
- Coordinate seasonal maintenance, including snow and leaf removal.
- Serve as the primary liaison between residents, the strata council, and property management.
- Issue and track keys, fobs, and access devices.
- Maintain records of repairs, inspections, contractor visits, and resident requests.
- Assist with enforcing building bylaws and rules in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Building Manager, Caretaker, Building Operator, Facilities Maintenance Technician, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during emergencies.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Reliable transportation and availability to respond to urgent building issues when required.

Pay: $21.00-$27.00 per hour
