Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest services, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, managing POS transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with Micros POS systems are preferred but not required. The Server will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and hospitable environment for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and cash handling
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and upselling opportunities to maximize sales
- Ensure food safety standards are followed during food handling and service
- Assist in setting up tables, cleaning work areas, and maintaining sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent guest services and hospitality
- Support team members during busy periods by managing time effectively and prioritizing tasks
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred; familiarity with the food industry is a plus
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Ability to handle food safely, including proper sanitation and food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and upselling products
- Excellent time management skills to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed; prior restaurant experience is beneficial but not mandatory
