Overview
O'M Engineering Inc located at 630-8188 Manitoba Street, Vancouver, BC, V5X 0L5 are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineering Design Technologist at an Intermediate level to join our dynamic team on a permanent full-time basis. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, familiarity with local codes and standards, proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam, and strong teamwork skills. They should be capable of attending site visits, answering client questions, and participating in meetings independently. Additionally, they should be able to complete the majority of their design work with minimal supervision from a Senior Engineer. Applicants can send their resumes and CVs to [email protected].
Responsibilities and Tasks for this role include:
- Design and develop power equipment and systems
- Design electrical and electronic systems
- Write specifications and technical reports.
- Conduct feasibility studies
- Ensure construction plans meet guidelines and specifications of building codes and other regulations
- Review quotations.
- Ensure compliance to drawings, specifications and building codes.
- Review projects and programs
- Conduct condition assessments
- Provide construction administration services,
- Perform field reviews, and prepare specifications that align with local, and industry standards.
- Attend site visits and client meetings
- Respond to client queries and technical questions.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and electronic engineering (or equivalent)
Experience
- Over 2 years of Local (BC) experience
Hybrid
Work must be completed both in person and remotely. The expected hours per week are 40 (Monday - Friday).
