Behrends Bronze is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sign Painter to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for painting a wide variety of architectural and commercial signage to the highest quality standards. This position requires excellent attention to detail, a steady hand, and pride in producing exceptional finished products.
Responsibilities
- Paint dimensional letters, plaques, monuments, and architectural signage.
- Spray paint, touch-up, and hand paint a variety of sign products.
- Mix paints to achieve accurate customer and brand colours.
- Prepare surfaces by sanding, cleaning, masking, and priming.
- Apply clear coats and specialty finishes when required.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of spray equipment and paint booth.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist other departments as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Previous painting experience preferred (automotive, industrial, cabinet, or sign painting considered an asset).
- Experience with spray guns and paint preparation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to read production drawings and work orders.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or within a team.
